Hays began as a small brass foundry making curb stops, curb boxes and water valves.
In 1941, Hays quickly adapted to support the WWII effort by producing 40mm shell casings,
bilge pump stops, port hole covers and the like.
Lee Brass, begun in 1919, was also known for producing quality water/plumbing products.
Lee acquired Hays in 1990 and has grown to become a totally integrated manufacturing
operation.
